Violence in Viking Age Dublin. This human skull contains evidence of a severe sword cut to the side of head, which removed a large section of bone. Further wounds are found on top of the skull and these suggest that after decapitation, the unfortunate individual’s head was impaled on a spike. It was discovered (along with 17 other skulls) during the National Museum of Ireland’s excavations at Fishamble Street, Dublin.

things that still freak me out: those sinks americans have in their kitchens that you can destroy stuff with
y'all are freaking out over something really stupid. garbage disposals don’t just TURN ON for no reason and if you’re bathing your child in the sink you have the sink PLUGGED so they can’t just stick their limbs down the drain and EVEN IF THEY DID the only way it would end in their limbs being chopped would be if YOU THE PARENT turned on the disposal knowing your child’s arm is stuffed in there so… what the fuck?
and the people worried their penises are going to get chopped off by one… what. what are you DOING with your sink, Europeans?
